Description:
Buyer Localization - Hispanic/Latino Guest Assortment Strategy
Classification: Exempt
Date: April 2022
About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.
Target Merchandising is evolving at an incredible pace. We are constantly reimagining how this $100 billion retailer offers the innovative and guest-inspiring assortments that Target is known and loved for. Our goal is to consistently deliver exceptional value, quality and style that elevates Target as the premier retailer in a competitive global marketplace. Through intelligent and progressive business strategies that make the most of Target's resources and partnerships worldwide, Merchandising works across product categories to create a localized shopping experience, both online and in our 1800 stores. Are you a creative problem-solver who loves to own a category as well as its results? Can you collaborate effectively, execute a plan efficiently and positively influence how Target chooses and presents the right product in the right place at the right price? If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams.
A role in Localization means you will be working on a key enterprise initiative at an exciting time when we are learning, iterating and scaling Localization strategies within Merchandising. You'll use your skills, experience and talents to lead the localization strategy, execution and measurement plans supporting our critical focus markets of New York, Los Angeles and Miami. You'll coordinate the integration of Localization initiatives into Remodel stores across enterprise, division and category levels.
As a Buyer Localization, you'll build field partnership and market expertise. In this role, you will support and drive Target's Enterprise Hispanic/Latino Guest Assortment Strategy working in close alignment with key partners such as Merchandising, Space & Presentation, Marketing, Diversity & Inclusion, Guest Insights and Assortment Planning. You will leverage your experience in strategic and cross-functional leadership, planning and execution to develop and implement Store-Level strategies and tactics. You will utilize data field partnership & market expertise to build localization strategy and define tactics for each market/remodel store and translate localization priorities into Remodel insights. You'll manage the annual financial plan by forecasting the anticipated impact at the tactic level and partner to measure success, identifying when/where to scale each tactic further.
Core responsibilities are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
About you:
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs.
