The HR Policy & Compliance team is responsible for creating, managing, monitoring, and enforcing HR and employment-related policies and compliance programs for Target. You will play an integral part in managing emerging risks, complex employment requirements, and internal workplace policy expectations across our global workforce. This will include tracking changes in legislation, working with labor and employment attorneys to understand legal and regulatory requirements, consulting with HR and business teams to translate requirements for technology and process development, build and perform ongoing monitoring for the effectiveness of controls, and create remediation action plans to mitigate identified risk.

Use your skills, experience and talents to be involved in the development of new and leading HR compliance solutions. As a Lead HR Policy & Compliance Consultant, you'll oversee Target's Equal Employment Opportunity programs, policies, and practices to manage regulatory risk and ensure compliance while supporting DEI initiatives.

Major duties:
  • Develop, implement, and manage programs and guidelines to ensure Target remains compliant with employment laws and regulations
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting evaluations of HR policies, practices, and programs
  • Partner with Talent Analytics, ER/Legal, and HR COEs to create governance and implement solutions
  • Develop a cyclical cadence for continuous review of key processes; Analyze and recommend solutions to problems in areas you support
  • File EEO-1 reports and other required regulatory reports
  • Develop and deliver enterprise-wide anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training, as well as point-in-time training and communications to HR and Leaders

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6-10 years' experience with DEI, EEO, or HR
  • Experience managing HR projects and developing HR workplace policies
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop working business relationships and trust
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and anti-discrimination
  • Knowledge of and experience with implementing Affirmative Action compliance programs and/or performing equity audits preferred


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400-$153,700.
