BUSINESS CONTRACT ANALYST

Work Location: Work from home, in the office or hybrid (in the office 3 or more days per week)

Position Description

This position is responsible to facilitate business contract activities for the organization. Activities include partnering with business owners, purchasing, vendor management office, legal and other identified departments to facilitate the contracting review process in close partnership with Legal to ensure consistent and robust business terms and conditions. You will coordinate the preliminary agreement reviews for business edits, Information Technology (IT) requirements and compliance related language, as needed, in collaboration with the business owner(s), IT, Compliance and Privacy Subject Matter Expert's (SMEs) as appropriate. Upon completion of the preliminary review, handoff final redlined draft document to Legal for review process.

• Partner with business owners, purchasing, vendor management office, legal, IT/security, and accounting to facilitate the preliminary contracting review process for all new, renewals, amendments and other contracting documents requiring review by the Legal department.

• Review and edit contracts to ensure business terms and conditions are consistent with UCare needs.

• Provide analysis, facilitation and assist with identification of contract process review optimization in close partnership with Legal department and other departments based on feedback.

• Work with legal department to revise contract language to reflect business objectives.

• Assist with monitoring of contract renewals/expirations and notifications process.

• Collaborate with Vendor Management Office, Accounting Operations and Purchasing to ensure onboarding activities are complete upon contract initiation and once execution are complete including vendor setup, exclusion search, vendor submission into Compliance360 and corresponding purchase order issued.

• Assist with off-boarding activities upon contract termination, as needed.

• Work collaboratively and effectively with a highly matrixed team, including members of Legal, IT, Compliance and the Business, to meet compressed timelines.

• Document processes and maintain contract data, as applicable.

• Serve as resource in a collaborative function with other departments.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

At least two years' experience working in contracting in a highly regulated industry. Experience working in vendor management and a matrixed environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Health Care setting preferred. Experience with Compliance360.
