PROJECT MANAGER I

headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a full-time Project Manager I. The Project Manager I provides overall leadership direction to assigned construction projects, including the management of project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as mentoring the project team. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus three (3) years of related experience in the commercial construction industry working on large commercial construction projects exceeding $20 million. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus five (5) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the commercial construction industry working on large commercial construction projects exceeding $20 million. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) developing and maintaining project financial projections and equipment projections for commercial construction projects; (2) drafting client proposals, performing contract administration and management, and awarding subcontracts for commercial construction projects; (3) managing change orders for commercial construction projects; (4) maintaining the schedule and budget of construction projects through completion; and (5) performing estimating and design phase management activities for construction projects of sports venues. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program. All experience may have been gained concurrently. This position supervises subordinates, which may vary in number from two to six. Position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.
