We use good data, in-depth analysis and cross-functional insights to identify and communicate best practices, elevating our sourcing and procurement activities to achieve their very highest potential.

A role with Procurement is a chance to positively impact several key areas of Target's business. Your input will ensure that Target realizes the expected value from the terms of our agreements that comprise nearly a $10 billion annual spend toward innovative and competitively priced goods and services by:
  • Promoting best practices across the entire company by developing deep knowledge and client relationships in each spend category
  • Providing expert integrated business planning and stakeholder management for all indirect items and services
  • Applying intelligent rate, demand and specification levers to source, negotiate and contract services while sustainably lowering costs
  • Propelling the business with accurate and comprehensive demand forecasting, financial planning and item setup
  • Changing the game for our internal online catalog end users by making the entire buying process faster and simpler
  • Helping us cultivate Target's partnerships with diverse, community-minded suppliers who are committed to economic development and job growth


This role within Procurement supports a multi-year roadmap and strategy rollout to develop Item, Forecasting, and Demand Planning capabilities for Indirect Goods. To support this evolution, this role will oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution, overseeing program management and communicating objectives between teams. You will partner with key initiative stakeholders, leadership, and cross-company partners to document and communicate the vision for business initiatives as well as oversee program-level cross-functional teams/projects, with limited definition and management oversight, to ensure needs are identified, planned and delivered in a timely, cost effective, high-quality manner. This role works with Procurement and cross-company partner teams to develop and monitor control plans that provide measurable goals and objectives. You will also independently create effective and efficient communications, including presentations, to inform or align stakeholders, drive awareness, and document decisions and risk mitigation strategies.

About you:
  • 4-year degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, detection of patterns/trends, and analytical skills
  • Proven organization, planning, and time management skills
  • Excellent listening, communication (written and verbal), and collaboration skills
  • Ability to connect tactical deliverables to enterprise strategy
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to drive change and execute, persuade and influence others
  • Experience with forecasting and demand planning
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite


Even better if:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) experience/certification
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale process and technology efforts
  • Knowledge of Target systems and processes
  • Experience/knowledge of Indirect Supply Chain processes and partners including Construction, Store Design, Sourcing, Procurement, Store Operations and Indirect (Non-Retail) Supply Chain
  • Excellent scheduling and communication skills
  • MBA or Advanced Degree in related field


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only:

The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
