Primary Function:

As a Lead Data Analyst you will work closely with finance planning & analysis, technology, and data analyst team members to co-create solutions that both maximizes business value and enables key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and better experiences for finance planning teams. In this role, you'll serve as an advocate and architect of our SAP Analytic Cloud (SAC) Platform and build, support, and maintain an effective tool & data ecosystem and iterate on both the delivery and the deliverable of end-to-end analytics. You will be a leader on an agile team which requires active collaboration and participation in team agile ceremonies and business partners meetings. In this role, you'll have opportunities to continuously upskill to stay current with new technologies in the industry via formal training, peer training groups and self-directed education.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of Finance Planning tool & platform and process improvement to increase the planning process efficiency and provide smooth user experience to business teams
  • Build planning models, story design, data actions, data import & exports, analytics, and visualizations along with usage of reporting features and interactive objects
  • Prototype and implement solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) by actively exploring model/data for specific use cases
  • Design and deliver the required configurations per business requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and training sessions
  • Contribute in agile ceremonies, actively participate in team and business partner meetings, and advocate and support tool adaptation for new and existing finance users
  • Develop tool best practices and document model & stories build, data actions, and data integrations


Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in technical/business analytics field, finance, economics or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience working in analytics and reporting
  • 2+ years of experience with financial planning and forecasting tool such as SAP Analytic Cloud (SAC), Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle Essbase, or similar solutions
  • Experience working with various SAP objects, BPC Planning, BW, and HANA preferred
  • Strong technical and analytical aptitude; Familiarity with SQL, SQL Server, Hadoop/Hive, and extract, transform, load (ETL) tools and the ability to learn new data integration techniques
  • Positive, people-oriented, enthusiastic and can easily work with others, regardless of their analytical proficiency or technical competence
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple ways to generate clarity, comprehension and actionable insights to drive business process change
  • Can make decisions with little to no guidance from manager or other leaders; proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400-$153,700.
