Description:
About Us:

As a Fortune 50 company with more than 400,000 team members worldwide, Target is an iconic brand and one of America's leading retailers.

Working at Target means the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. Caring for our communities is woven into who we are, and we invest in the places we collectively live, work and play. We prioritize relationships, fuel and develop talent by creating growth opportunities, and succeed as one Target team. At our core, our purpose is ingrained in who we are, what we value, and how we work. It's how we care, grow, and win together.

Right on pace with Target's distinctive retail brand, Target Store Operations is continuing to transform the way it operates. Here, your work directly supports the store mission to be the guest favorite through successfully developing and communicating the processes for operations, style and experience, new structures, new operating models and new technology, and utilizing workforce management activities for our 1,800 locations nationwide. Store Operations manages and enhances the informational resources for researching and resolving operational issues, while guiding and communicating with the field team and leaders who use them. Are you a customer service enthusiast who can actively listen to many points of view and then visualize how they'll perform when operationalized in a store? Are you happy to partner with leaders as well as field team members who are often the experts on how well a process is working? Can you creatively envision more efficient processes and how they'll deliver a better experience for guests and team members? Do you possess the innovative mindset to question the status quo, and the confidence to work under varying degrees of ambiguity and well-informed experimentation? Then you'll have success on one of our dynamic teams.

A role with Strategic Planning and Operations will entail working with cross-functional partners to help create and manage the strategy and planning process for Store Operations. You'll lead the plans designed to help Field Leaders and key HQ partners bring a modernized guest experience to life.

As a Director, Store Operations - Strategic Planning & Operations, you will use your talents and experiences to create and drive Store Operations strategy alignment, build and facilitate the multi-year strategy roadmap, and bring deliverables to life through ownership of the portfolio management for Stores. In this role, you will develop an operating cadence of strategic planning moments across the Enterprise and provide forums to identify and resolve collisions across the breadth of the Stores portfolio - including Stores Growth, Shared Services, Space & Remodels, Visual Merch & Operations, and Assets Protection. You will lead a team that is responsible for the management of in-year deliverables, defining & measuring the success of the Stores strategy, and setting critical leader moments to review and discuss progress. In partnership with enterprise teams, you will be responsible to deepen the strategy connection between Stores, Enterprise Strategy and other enterprise planning teams, including Merchandising, Supply Chain, Digital and Marketing. You will identify opportunities for process enhancements, strategy measurement improvements, and help Sr. Leadership work through prioritization across the Stores portfolio of work, by conducting benchmarking on processes, insights and tools to strengthen and mature Store Operations' strategic planning and portfolio management. You will serve as a strategic advisor and liaison to the Store Operations SVPs, supporting prioritization of work, key alignment moments, and connections between HQ and Field. You'll work across multiple Store Operations functions and Target HQ partners to facilitate strategy conversations and decisions, manage key timelines, and deliver against the Stores strategic roadmap while applying company-established practices and processes.
