SYSTEM ANALYST

Work Location: Work from Home, Standard or Office for Your Day

Position Description

This position is responsible to provide application support to the organization. Proactively monitor critical applications, jobs/schedules, and all batch and online processes. Provide real-time application support to eliminate or avoid business impact. Coordinate and schedule job processing other batch processes. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve incidents/problems and outages in production. Support application releases and other software updates. Perform risk review of production deployments. Manage and investigate work orders that reflect system/software & hardware defects. Respond promptly to incidents and escalate when appropriate. Serve as a liaison between the Business and Information Technology (IT) teams to understand problems and recommend solutions to resolve issues or enhance functionality.

• Monitor and schedule user jobs, intervening as necessary to ensure they reach completion.

• Manage the production calendar. Ensure the production calendar accurately reflects user operations, system support operations, migrations to new releases, and any other events which could impact throughput. Communicate these events to all stake-holders.

• Record intervention(s) using the appropriate logging and monitoring tools. Communicate intervention(s) as necessary.

• Document and report system and/or application issues to relevant parties at all levels in the organization in a timely manner. Include an assessment of the priority level of an issue and when updates will be provided.

• Serve as an Application Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications. Understand application(s) functionality, interfaces, and business processes to effectively provide support. Maintain and documentation operational processes and procedures.

• Taking ownership of technical issue, and working with addition tier 2, tier 3 teams to resolve issue when necessary.

• Participate in providing training to customers as required.

• Participate in an on-call support rotation.

• Create and maintain system monitoring, automation, and alert processes.

• Perform weekend and evening support as needed or scheduled.

• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

At least two years' experience supporting and managing an application software serving as the SME to drive priorities and solutions for applications that serve large user bases and contain multiple upstream and downstream integrations. At least two years' experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications. Strong analytical and application management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Technical knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and system analysis. Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Experience and understanding of relational database concepts.

Preferred Experience

Healthcare experience preferred. Experience in one of the following: Macess/Formworks, HealthRules, Guiding Care, Novus Med, BizTalk, Uc4/Atomic or other related applications. Experience managing vendor relationships and SaaS solutions.
