INTAKE COORDINATOR - SNBC

Work Location: Work from home

Position Description

This position is responsible to configure monthly Special Needs Basic Care (SNBC) enrollment reports and provide enrollment support to the SNBC team and delegated entities. Research and configure monthly enrollment reports through data analytics; identify member clinic affiliations, investigate MMIS entries and attach information into Guiding Care. Collaborate with counties and care systems to ensure accuracy in assignment of cases and clinics; including coordinating and responding to clinic change requests for SNBC members. This position is also responsible to manage the Intake Line; telephone, fax, electronic communication and distribution of referrals for clinical services.

• Configure enrollment reports through complex data analytics. Search MMIS and attach most recent MMIS entry and other appropriate documents in Guiding Care for each member.

• Delegate and assign issues to staff for resolution as appropriate.

• Identify, plan for and implement timely process improvement.

• Review staffing to ensure team meets regulatory and productivity standards.

• Monitors data entry assignments to ensure compliance with authorization requirements.

• Provide operational assistance and perform Intake Specialist duties and projects as assigned.

• Participate in or conduct audits of assigned activities.

• Resolve provider related issues as they relate to Notification, Authorization services to both internal and external customers.

• Monitor, process and report MACESS aging. Monitor team queue mailboxes to ensure compliance with departmental SLA agreements.

• Provide support and recommendations to procedures and provider manual to ensure alignment with DHS policy and legislative changes.

• Provide assistance to Appeal and Grievance (AG) department to ensure appeal and state fair hearing results are processed appropriately.

• Participate in internal cross-departmental and external workgroups related to operational and legislative activities.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of medical assistance, health unit coordinator or other medical certification preferred.

Required Experience

Three years' experience in a health plan or health care industry. Knowledge and experience with medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding and insurance industry knowledge. One year of lead or supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience

Experience with insurance operations, member or provider customer service, or managed care utilization review. Experience in hospital, clinic or health care facility.
