Store Operations manages and enhances the informational resources for researching and resolving operational issues, while guiding and communicating with the field teams and leaders who use them. A role with Fulfillment Operations means a big opportunity to apply your operations, supply chain and fulfillment experience to continuously improve the strategies that fuel fulfillment processes like Ship from Store, Order Pickup, Drive Up, & Fresh Grocery Pickup.

As a Director, Fulfillment Long-Range Planning & Network Optimization in Store Operations, you will lead a team responsible for building and aligning the 5-year growth plan for Stores Fulfillment, including both Drive-Up/Pickup and Ship-from-Store Fulfillment. You will work collaboratively to socialize these plans as part of Finance's annual long-range planning (LRP) and Global Supply Chain's Plan of Record (POR) processes. Your team will lead stores network modeling, analysis, and develop Stores' perspective on forward-looking Fulfillment capacity, and develop remodel space criteria to ensure each store has the right space, physical assets, and processes necessary to achieve planned growth given their role in Target's Fulfillment network. You will work collaboratively with the Directors of Fulfillment Testing & Innovation, Guest Experience, Engineering and Process Optimization to ensure our multi-year plan is aligned with goals for Fulfillment sales and productivity growth, and influence partners to prioritize key initiatives to deliver the plan.

About You:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in operations, business, finance, supply chain, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of industry experience, including retail, supply chain, ecommerce, or other relevant experiences
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team that uses data analysis to inform business decisions and plans
  • Experience in long-range planning for store space, operational capacity, and/or productivity growth
  • Skilled at forming business relationships and influencing leaders across functions and levels
  • Experience coaching teams in stakeholder communication, analytical modeling techniques, and planning approaches
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to advocate for and present recommendations to senior leaders
  • Ability to lead teams through identifying, defining and resolving ambiguous problems, while managing and adjusting to multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead by empowering team members through developing, teaching/training and coaching


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $119,500 to $215,100.
