A role in Network Planning and Global Intelligence means creating industry leading intelligence solutions to drive best in class omnichannel guest experiences at the lowest cost to Target. You might focus on enabling the future transportation operating model, optimizing inventory management, driving topology planning or leveraging deep business insights and analytics to propel Target's Supply Chain. As a network steward, we create forecasts, design inventory optimization strategies and leverage technology to ensure our inventory is available at the right time, in the right places and quantity to meet the needs of our guest, stores and operational goals. As a Lead Project Manager of Fulfillment Optimization, you will lead and implement digital placement and positioning strategies to meet the guest's demand across all of Target's fulfillment options. This role reports to the Senior Director of Fulfillment Optimization and will lead the team in support of placement activation at new nodes (Flow Centers, Sort Center Markets, Non-Con) and long term planning for local, regional, and national fulfillment strategies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage Placement & Positioning Long Term Planning (1 Year+) process and Quarterly Business Reviews. Develop connections with FO Analytics and Network Planning on roadmap for long term initiatives to improve availability and reduce ship cost as new fulfillment nodes (Mixing Centers, M1FC, 12-Pack Stores) are deployed.
  • Partner with Network Planning, S&OP, Inventory Management and Store Operations to develop new fulfillment capabilities that will delivery improved ship cost and scale to future throughput needs.
  • Develop Placement Plans for New Nodes in the Fulfillment Network that optimize assortment for market guest demand. Partner with GSCL teams as input to activation plans through go-live, and work across FO and analytics team to execute strategy.
  • Understand and translate key business objectives and strategy of product enhancements, and help communicate to the team in partnership with the Product Manager

About You:
  • 4 Year Degree with 5+ years' work experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Management or Demand Planning
  • Proven ability to lead peers, manage large scale project and build partnerships across the organization
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Replenishment, Demand Planning practices
  • Data driven with excellent analytical, critical thinking, & problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Access; SQL/HQL querying
  • Role is intended to be based at Headquarter Location (Minneapolis, MN)
