Description:

About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Right on pace with Target's distinctive retail brand, Target Finance and Accounting are transforming for the better. As so much more than a behind-the-scenes number-cruncher, you will be a truly collaborative partner with a seat at the table. You'll bring your unique point of view, experience and passion for the work to your team and internal clients. Within Finance, you'll enjoy the interesting challenges of the competitive retail space, and you'll have a 360-degree impact-rather than on just one part of the business. You'll see your contributions come to life in virtually every area of this dynamic enterprise. And you'll grow and be challenged in your career while having a healthy balance with life outside of work.

A role in Finance Risk & Controls calls on your risk acumen and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance knowledge to build a world-class internal control environment. Here, you'll collaborate to assess risk, design controls and provide risk insights to develop innovative risk management solutions. Championing an initiative-driven mindset to cultivate new ideas will be critical to ensuring the success of Target's business initiatives and core retail operations.

As a Sr Process Analyst in Risk & Controls, you will be on a team that builds strong partnerships across finance, technology and enterprise risk teams to provide consulting services and guidance on internal controls. This role is rooted in the interpersonal relationships built with these teams, enabling you to synthesize cross-team perspectives and succinctly communicate recommendations. You will proactively identify existing and emerging risks, assist with maintaining a comprehensive internal control program for the company, work with business partners to develop and update internal control documentation (process maps, risk control matrices, process narratives, etc.), keep up to date with the various systems and applications in use and use continuous improvement strategies to strengthen the control environment. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Audit or Accounting
  • 2+ years internal or external audit and/or internal controls experience
  • Experience in audit and enterprise risk management concepts (e.g., risk assessment/prioritization, process & internal controls, root cause analysis)
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Demonstrate strong professional judgment, critical thinking and written/oral communication skills (e.g., persuasion, influence, conflict resolution)

  • Experience in using data and analytical tools, including Excel, visualization solutions and other means of automation, to solve business problems
  • Experience assessing IT related risks in financial business processes, including automated controls and interface monitoring. Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CPA, CISA or similar designation preferred

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600-$118,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family. Find competitive benefits from financial and education to well-being and beyond.
