A role with Retail Brand Experience means an opportunity to shape our guests' experience of our holistic marketing presentation inside our stores. You'll drive the success of both forward-thinking projects and best practices that have a global impact on the guest experience.

The RBX Strategy & Operations Team studies the science of shopping to understand what aids and motivates our guests, identifying and solving problems, to enable teams to unlock the full potential of the retail brand experience. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

As a Lead Strategist, you will play a critical role developing and defining the in-store presentation strategy guided by Target's Enterprise strategies. You will lead strategic initiatives, creating project charters, strategy documents and facilitate working teams to advance and integrate initiatives into RBX channel teams. Key goals will include:

  • Develop and activate guest-led strategies, identifying and articulating clear problem statements
  • Lead RBX cross-functional teams of key stakeholders from strategy development to activation
  • Collaborate with RBX Leaders to develop, align and activate RBX initiatives that are bold, new and/or organizationally complex balancing the Guest, Enterprise and operations
  • Identify, connect and integrate inputs from across the organization, including macro insights, behavioral science and operational considerations
  • Drive clarity while navigating through ambiguity

About you:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • High level of resiliency, personal accountability, collaboration and high comfort with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated success leading Cross-functional work beyond scope of job responsibilities

  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills - an ability to listen for and filter robust inputs to make quick connections and communicate the most critical points in a clear, simple and actionable way - both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and translate strategy to action and adjust strategy based on operational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated high sense of curiosity and ability to drive clarity via storytelling.
  • Ability to stay objective in the face of complexity and opposing viewpoints.
  • Understanding of the Target Brand.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
