PRODUCT MANAGER

Best Buy Co., Inc. has an opening working for and based out of its corporate headquarters as a Product Manager. This position provides a telecommuting benefit allowing the employee to reside anywhere in the United States, but the employee must physically report to Best Buy headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota at least once every fiscal quarter. Articulate business requirements for products built within the company's digital organization. Act as a resource and interact with different teams (engineering, product, user experience) across multiple web products and projects. Oversee process of identifying business needs, translating them into technical specifications and ensuring solution success for engineering, product and user experience. Work to plan and facilitate sessions to gather user requirements and develop, validate and secure acceptance of business requirements documents, and set standards/processes for systems analysis activities. Prepare new functional requirements documentation and present them to business and technical stakeholders. Apply customer-facing/user-centered applications, UX, and customer and order flows to ensure solutions meet the end user's needs. Monitor customer engagement patterns and identify areas of new business opportunities by building appropriate business cases. Manage the life cycle of product features and make data driven product decisions on a daily basis. Lead the documentation of software processes and business re-engineering opportunities. Involves incidental domestic travel to company headquarters at least once every fiscal quarter. Full Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering, plus three (3) years of experience working with Architects, Developers, and Business Stakeholders through development up until project deployment into product and post production testing, and utilizing Agile processes, Restful Microservices, APIs, HTTP, XML, JSON, Rest/SOAP, Jira, and Confluence. At least two years of this experience must have included managing business analysis on customer-facing computer applications for large multi-national companies by engaging in the software development lifecycle and engaging in requirement elicitation, management, and integration in a multi-platform environment. In lieu of a Master's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in the fields listed above plus three years of experience, Employer will accept a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience working with Architects, Developers, and Business Stakeholders through development up until project deployment into product and post-production testing, and utilizing Agile processes, Restful Microservices, APIs, HTTP, XML, JSON, Rest/SOAP, Jira and Confluence. Two years of which must have included managing business analysis on customer-facing computer applications for large multi-national companies by engaging in software development lifecycle and engaging in requirement elicitation, management, and integration in a multi-platform environment.
