As a Contingent Labor Sourcing and Contracts Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to your clients and team; consistently delivering on fundamentals and advanced sourcing techniques through the execution of complex sourcing projects in support of Target's contingent labor program. Working cross-functionally, you will lead project teams and provide sourcing and negotiation guidance leveraging tailored engagement models for your category. You will lead process optimization and associated change management exercises that are focused on evolving current business processes. You will develop event strategies and buying programs for the contingent labor program, including guiding the team in financial analysis methods, such as clean sheet and award scenarios. You will have the opportunity to communicate and present to internal and external stakeholders (includes the proficiency to engage with Sr. Leadership using tailored messaging and/or storytelling), and are skilled enough to drive and manage change across the organization with speed and agility. Working closely with suppliers, you will effectively manage supplier relationships to drive value and ensure alignment with Target's goals. You will lead (both internally and externally) contracting efforts partnering with the appropriate legalteams (including large and complex efforts). You actively participate in contract drafting, contract analysis/review and will summarize or interpret relevant business impact. You will develop, negotiate and execute contract documents including master services agreements, statements of work, and amendment in partnership with the law team for new and existing vendor relationships. Using your skills and experiences, you will identify opportunities and determine effective ways to mitigate risks. You will maintain awareness of policies and deploy best practices in ethical business behavior.

As an expert in the contingent labor industry, you have a deep understanding of the contractor management process. Following market trends with the contingent labor industry, you will evaluate industry best practices to enhance the Target program. As a Lead on the team, you will help to drive engagement, lead discussions, provide guidance, and coordinate processes across the Contingent Labor team. You will build and influence team culture, through empathy and a commitment to development of peers and self. You lead and act as a peer mentor to coach new TM's in skills development.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with some background in Contingent Labor
  • Strong project management skillset to lead cross-functional projects, execute against a timeline, and track progress in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and making presentations
  • Culture champion with proven experience inspiring peers and cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Contingent labor experience desired
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only:

The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
