A role in Construction means leading the execution of the new store, remodel and innovation plans and projects. From large program rollouts to unique special projects, new small-format stores and large-format ground-up construction you'll help manage the scope, schedule and budget for all types of Target construction projects. This includes adhering to the project timeline, coordinating and overseeing the onsite construction process and turnover. You'll keep all of the players and partners aligned with effective communication between external vendors, general contractors, internal Target field leadership and project teams.

As an Associate Project Manager, Field Construction, you'll help develop and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules; as well as direct, supervise, and control the construction and fixture installation process for assigned projects to meet established goals and objectives. You'll act as an Owners Site Representatives in managing the on-site construction team, facilitating open communications to ensure timely project execution, managing projects to highest quality standards. Learn how to manage projects ranging from single location projects to large program rollouts, unique special projects, remodels, unique small format new stores and large format new store/ground-up construction. You'll gain experience reviewing and analyzing contractor bids, make recommendations and approve subcontractor bids, conduct contract negotiations, review and approve changes to the contract and applications for payments, and close out all necessary contracts. You'll learn to conduct cross-functional meetings to monitor the activities and budgets of other departments that affect the projects. You will gain experience managing program change, solving, and communicating problems to ensure prompt resolution. In this role your key focus will be in ensuring successful project execution while maintaining Target's quality standards.

About you:
  • 4-year degree, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
  • Experience in construction project management
  • Requires knowledge of construction processes, best practices and industry standards
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly self-motivated and committed to the development of high-quality work and productivity
  • Requires significant travel

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $52,200 to $94,00.00.
