Description:
About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers. At Target, food is life. So it's the mission of our newly integrated Food & Beverage (F&B) organization to help our guests more easily discover the joy of food. We thrive on giving families new favorite ways to eat well and cook less, simply and affordably. With curated in-store experiences and a streamlined assortment designed to inspire and save time, we understand the importance of food to our guests' everyday life - from snack duty at soccer practice to important family gatherings and holidays. Join our centralized F&B team where you'll partner with people from literally every area of the business. Here, you'll help dream up new ways to offer our guests a reliably wonderful experience with the freshness, selection and value they expect and deserve from Target.

A role on the Engineering & Optimization (E&O) team means being relentlessly focused on how we can optimize our Food Supply Chain (FSC) to become more cost effective and improve the guest experience. Our teams work with the agility our mission requires, and we constantly come together to implement new processes in record time. We're looking for exceptional leaders who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity. You will work cross-functionally with experts from across F&B, Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSCL), Target Technology Services (TTS) and Stores to support co-creation of solutions to reduce labor cost, increase capacity, and improve speed and quality for replenishment & fulfillment activities.

The Program Management team (PMO) has a mix of business experience, thought leadership, process development and problem solving skills that allow all team members to identify business challenges and quickly deliver solutions utilizing established frameworks and relationship networks. Work on the PMO team provides an ideal opportunity to work on collaborative, cross functional programs involving complex relationships with leadership and operational teams.

As a Sr. Program Analyst on the PMO team, you will help create and maintain the Program Management System that sets E&O up for success. You'll become the expert of all things Smartsheet for the team and build out the ecosystem of tools that can make our work more efficient and effective. These tools will help us connect our teams with total F&B and support the in-take, adjustment, and review of on-going work and prioritization. These tools will help us better align annual objectives to our teams project work and set standards for flow of information between working groups and leadership. As part of the FSC Program Management team you'll help drive organizational excellence, seeking to enhance the practices of execution management and strategic change across E&O.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support creation and development of standard tools, templates, and technologies for cross-functional engagement, annual planning routines, and OKR management.
  • Develop, manage, and validate compliance with project management standards, policies, methods, and templates.
  • Design, develop, and coordinate the Program Management Ecosystem (tools, templates, artifacts, materials in support of E&O strategy)
  • Create spaces that allow visibility and alignment as teams have ability to see how their work fits in to broader strategy.
  • Support technology planning capabilities for FSC and corresponding functions as needed.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree - or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of combined experience in strategy implementation, project management, retail operations, supply chain and/or distribution and logistics industries
  • Experience developing Smartsheet tools and managing work within the tool
  • Strong communication, organization, and facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated structured problem solving experience and experience leading through ambiguous situations and influencing across diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate and influence without authority
  • Highly flexible and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to challenge norms, take smart risks, and quickly learn and adapt from mistakes.

RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficiency with standard portfolio management methodologies and project planning software applications.
  • Capable of working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Smartsheet | Control Center
