A role in Indirect and Reverse Supply Chain means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials that are required to operate all Target stores and distribution centers. This also includes the business management and logistics operations for guest returns. Reverse and Returns include the backward movement of all goods including logistics, secondary market sales, and damaged/defective product management. Indirect includes order execution and movement, warehousing/storage, operations such as facility and 3PL management and inventory management including demand management and forecasting.

As a Lead Logistics Business Partner, you will support the Indirect supply chain to deliver on key strategic initiatives for Target. You will be responsible for the end to end relationship of our 3PLs, Target owned facilities, and CFT partnerships. This includes budgeting, financial routines, process and capability development, sourcing and negotiation, and performance management. The Lead Business Partner works directly with internal and external stakeholders to deliver program level results, ensuring that all service levels and key performance metrics are achieved. This role is a subject matter expert with respect to project planning, processes, logistics functions and operations for Indirect goods, including, but not limited to, load planning, storage, third party logistics (3PL) vendor management, reporting, issue resolution, communicating, and other logistics functions.

Principal Duties:
  • Managing the 3PL life cycle of sourcing, negotiating, and daily execution oversight
  • Setting performance expectations and partnering with the warehouse teams to ensure goals are achieved, maintained, and focusing on continuously improving
  • Operate as a total business owner through both operational results and long term strategic initiatives
  • Designing new capabilities to support the execution of strategic company initiatives
  • Developing operational budgets and managing the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial routines and

narratives
  • Act as a change agent with strong credibility and the ability to influence while working with 3PLs and cross functional teams


Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experiences
  • Experience with performance metrics, key performance indicators, and process improvement
  • Experience leading and influencing a team with common or shared goals; providing purpose, motivation, direction and coaching for performance and development
  • Highly flexible, willing to take risks, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,300 to $146,400.
