The School of Business at St. Catherine University invites applications for potential adjunct positions. In the 2022-2023 academic year there may be opportunities for us to hire adjunct faculty as our current faculty go on sabbatical or go on leave or have unexpected emergencies. When that happens, we assess what resources we need to ensure our students have a rich academic experience.
The School of Business supports students in perceiving and achieving their academic and professional dreams and to encourage them as they launch or progress their careers. We offer both undergraduate and graduate level business degrees. Our faculty have a passion for teaching and giving back to their communities and they work collaboratively to support students who plan to use their education and training to lead and influence positive change in their communities.

Responsibilities include:
- Teach one-two classes on a semester basis in the traditional classroom, online and field environments;
- Educate and support students in their classroom and/or field experiences;
- Communicate respectfully and build relationships of trust with people of all cultures and abilities;
- Foster a culture of inclusive excellence through authentic relationships with students as an educator, an advisor, and a mentor;
- Monitor and assess student-learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance;
- Monitor curriculum content and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain relevance;
- Consistent with the university's Catholic identity, its commitment to women, diversity, inclusion, social justice, and dedication to a liberal arts-based curriculum, adjunct faculty are expected to manifest these themes in their teaching and practice experiences

- Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Business or a discipline such as accounting, management, marketing, finance, leadership, organizational development, etc.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in one of the areas of specialization listed above

- Doctoral degree in Business or a discipline such as accounting, management, marketing, finance, leadership, organizational development, etc.
- Experience teaching in a college or university and in an in-person or virtual format
- Experience teaching and mentoring diverse student populations

ST. CATHERINE UNIVERSITY
Formerly the College of St. Catherine, St. Kate’s was founded in St. Paul in 1905 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, whose social justice mission of loving God and neighbor without distinction anchors our commitment to respond to the needs of the time. The University is named for St. Catherine of Alexandria, the 4th-century Egyptian philosopher, who suffered martyrdom for her faith.
St. Kate’s is a nationally recognized university with the College for Women at its core which is one of the largest Catholic colleges for women in the nation. It is one of the most comprehensive Catholic universities in the United States, offering access to an education in over 80 academic programs ranging from professional certificates to post-graduate degrees in the liberal arts and professional programs. In 2009, St. Kate’s moved from college to university status, retaining its tradition of academic excellence while expanding its structure to three colleges and three schools. The three schools are the School of Humanities, Arts and Sciences (SHAS), School of Business, and the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health (HSSH), each of which serves students in the College for Women, the Graduate College, and the College for Adults.
