Pricing is a critical element in our commitment to affordability and is a key lever in the overall success and health of our business. Working within the Pricing Strategy & Ops team, your mission is to develop industry leading approaches to pricing to meet the rapidly changing needs of the business while enhancing the price perception we earn from our guests. You'll play an outsized role in defining our strategy for pricing owned brands and will be a key business partner with Merchandising, Planning, Product Development, Marketing and Operations.
As a Strategy Lead, you'll develop strategies for pricing across the competitive marketplace. You'll evaluate and decide how the strategy evolves over time as competitive influences shift and consumer buying change2. You'll work closely with our merchants and brand management teams to develop the pricing strategy for each of our owned brands in the portfolio to ensure they are positioned to deliver value and loyalty to Target. You'll refine your approach based on market conditions and business performance to drive improvement to KPIs for pricing while you learn the merchant businesses, strategies, and objectives to inform your approach.
You will have the opportunity to support new and ongoing pricing initiative by using and applying key learnings from the cross functional work you lead. Through your coordination of cross-functional reviews you will have the opportunity to support new and on-going initiatives. Using your strategic problem-solving skills, you will drive process improvements and identify business risks and opportunities based on financial and operational performance. Leverage your strong critical thinking and communication skills to educate merchants and other partners by influencing pricing decisions and driving collaborative dialogue and processes between Merchants, Marketing and the Pricing and Promo Center of Excellence. We'll support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development, to help you grow as a strong Strategy Lead. The exciting part of retail? It's always changing!

• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience, experience in retail industry preferred
• 6+ years previous merchandising or finance experience (e.g. buyer, sales & operations, pricing, planning)
• Experience leading complex projects and enterprise strategies
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maximize relationships, experience working in matrix organizations, self-starter
• Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit with keen interest in innovating the business; strong strategic, analytical, decision-making, project management and planning skills
This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.
Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.
