The Talent Analytics team
  • Integrates into the business as strategic HR analytics partners and anticipates and uncovers stated or unstated needs.
  • Advances team member data stewardship that aligns to our corporate values
  • Listens and empowers team member and external stakeholder voice
  • Provide reporting solutions to help inform on the current state of the business and help facilitate process at scale
  • Uses our analytics expertise to test, measure, analyze, understand and answer various business questions
  • Connects our understanding across business and HR to deliver data driven products and solutions
  • Provide meaningful insights and recommendations


About the role:

Our Lead Team Member Data Ethics Consultant will provide expertise and support to HR and the enterprise through the development and implementation of a data stewardship strategy that upholds the trust our team members place in Target and supports our business initiatives. You will be responsible for synthesizing a complex landscape with a variety of enterprise stakeholders from legal, privacy, compliance, and the business. You will also need to incorporate these perspectives into an overarching team member privacy and ethics data strategy that creates transparency, fosters trust, and supports our business.

  • Develop and implement HR's strategy for the ethical use of team member data by working across multiple teams across the organization and leveraging their expertise
  • Manage time independently, work independently and manage multiple open work streams
  • Able to manage through ambiguity to identify and solve problems
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to identify new and emerging data acquisition, share and use activities to put the necessary guidance, guardrails and escalation path in place to effectively manage risk
  • Drive the necessary changes across the organization to implement team member data privacy and ethics data strategy
  • Raise awareness for enterprise best practices around team member data processing and data governance policies
  • Research and apply best practices and industry trends in employee data privacy space to the work of the team, focusing on influencing creative and agile solutions which are also compliant.


About you:
  • Four-year degree and 5-7 years of experience leading high scope projects and working with cross-functional teams across the Enterprise; HR experience preferred
  • Ability to take risks, challenge the status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances to achieve results
  • Strong domain specific knowledge in Human Resources data and processes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to navigate through complex problems, analyze processes, synthesize data and results and drive toward solutions
  • Balance the priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders needs
  • Ability to build a strong network both internally and externally and leverage resources and relationships to get things done


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400k to $153,700k.
