Target Studio is an integral part of Target's Marketing Team and is leveraged for photo and video production services. We partner with teams across the company to bring the Target Brand to life.

As a Senior Manager, Stylist, you will bring the Target Brand to life by managing team that styles merchandise for E-commerce and Marketing Special Projects. You will partner closely with Target Creative, photo and motion execution teams to create impactful images that drive sales.

You will have leadership experience in all aspects of Photo Production.

Pre-Production: You have working experience creating concepts and designs for photo + motion shoots for all categories within the Target Brand. Your experience will include working with key internal and external partners: Studio Producers, Art Direction, Sample Management, Props and the Set Shop to secure resources for photo production. This position requires the organizational and communication skills necessary to: manage team, set creative direction, successfully manage a project from start to finish and meet deadlines. In addition to project work; you will train and hold the Styling teams accountable for the evolving Style Guides. To support creative growth; you will partner with Art Directors on testing new approaches to key categories.

Production: You will actively lead teams in analyzing creative direction and resources to optimize production. Creative direction will be provided on set, remotely or through style guides. Partnering with Art Directors and Photographers you will execute the creative direction and provide additional options for consideration. This position manages all staff Stylists and contractor Prep Stylists.

Post-Production: Partner with Art Directors to insure all creative expectations have been delivered. Insure all samples and set elements have been returned appropriately. Provide an accurate accounting of all expenses to the Producers. It's important that you maintain an active network of Stylists who we can leverage during production peaks. When the project is complete you will follow up with creative partners for feedback and opportunities for improvement.

About you:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong management and styling background in commercial photography and motion studio
  • 6-10+ years of experience
  • Manage and develop team of Stylists
  • Develop creative brand strategy in close conjunction with Art Directors
  • Oversee supply ordering for studio
  • Ability to concept, execute and present creative ideas that support Target Brand.
  • Expert proficiency in styling tools and trends
  • Ability to shop for or source props and hand assemble a variety of merchandise
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate
  • Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity
  • Curiosity around learning new things, uncovering new opportunities, staying current with culture and trends in home and fashion
  • Exhibits integrity, creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness
  • Current portfolio demonstrating depth and breadth of creative capabilities
  • Proven ability to lead teams as well as create independently
