Comprised of everything from public relations, internal editorial, and experiential and multimedia production, to executive communication and crisis management, Enterprise Communications offers a world-class canvas for communicators to serve Target's millions of stakeholders.

As a Senior Communications Manager, Editorial, you will:
  • Participate in the communication planning process and forms close partnerships with strategists
  • Have expert knowledge across a series of key retail/business subject areas and maintain a "beat" relationship with key partners
  • Concept, report and write stories for content channels based on assigned beats, with minimal editorial oversight
  • Take content packages from ideation to creation, reviews and ultimately, publication
  • Continually explore new ways to tell stories across multiple platforms in collaboration with key partners across Enterprise Communications
  • Contribute to social and creative content and initiatives
  • Gain fluency in - and advocate for - voice, tone and audience needs across Enterprise Communications' email vehicles, social media, press releases and corporate site
  • Drive special projects for the ongoing evolution of editorial channels
  • Bring outside trends and ideas for new communication and storytelling approaches
  • Consistently demonstrate behaviors aligned to Target's values of Inclusivity, Connection and Drive
  • Other duties as assigned

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of professional communications experience
  • Strong editorial judgement, with ability to focus on both broad, strategic vision and small, critical details
  • Expert on communicating information clearly and creatively
  • Strong team player, highly effective at collaborating and influencing internal partners
  • Highly organized with the ability to independently adapt, prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks or projects in response to changing, ambiguous or competing priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage projects simultaneously, maintaining appropriate prioritization and ensuring adherence to deadlines

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
