The mission of the Small Format and Localization team in Merchandising is to drive growth for Target by creating and scaling locally relevant merchandising solutions. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the enterprise localization strategy. The team is responsible for everything from ensuring stores have apparel that is climate appropriate, to leading Multicultural Assortment strategy across the Enterprise, to curating locally relevant Small Format store merchandising.
As an Associate Buyer on the Small Formats Team for Food & Beverage, you'll analyze store-level sales and profitability to inform the Small Format Sr. Buyers and Buyers of needed assortment updates and future assortment plans. You'll also lead the execution of assortment strategies by store cluster and floor pad size, as well as continuously share small format store learnings and field feedback to help improve format understanding, execution and results.
Additionally, you'll collaborate with multiple cross-functional partners, including Store Operations, Space & Presentation, Inventory Management Operations and Category Management teams with the goal of delivering outstanding sales and profit performance and developing sustainable processes for long-term scalability of small format stores.

About you:
- A four-year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong financial, strategic and planning skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical, decision-making, and organization skills
- A performance-driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative and has superior leadership skills
- Flexibility and resiliency; comfortable working in "grey areas" that are constantly changing
- Comfortable taking risks, working through change
- 1+ years merchandising experience preferred
