Maintenance Technician

Whitecap Management, a Doran company, is filling multiple maintenance positions at Hoigaard Village in St. Louis Park.  Experienced technicians welcome and WE ARE WILLING TO TRAIN!  If you are a hands-on learner with basic mechanical knowledge and favorable job history, we would love to talk to you about beginning your career in the multi-family maintenance industry. 

$2,500 hiring bonus!  Pay range from $26.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience and certifications.

Maintenance Technician is a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of building maintenance procedures and is an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication. This role’s chief responsibility is to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of the property that residents are proud to call home.

What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Technician will complete necessary maintenance on each apartment for move-ins/turnovers.  You will complete all work orders in a prompt and professional manner. You will maintain building equipment to ensure safety and operational. You will maintain common areas for safety and appearance. You will maintain resident contact regarding maintenance problems in apartments. You will adhere to specific safety guidelines set by OSHA and attends monthly safety meetings. You will also monitor and comply with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.  This role will complete all other projects or requests as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with technology including iPad and mobile devices
• Effective and professional communicator
• Team player that cares about quality of service
• Able to lift 50lbs or more
• Ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be reliable and follow through on commitments
• Must be attentive to detail and adhere to company standards
• Mechanical aptitude with building maintenance experience (preferred)
• HVAC experience (preferred)
• CPO (preferred)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
