We are seeking a UX Designer who can jump in and contribute to a new team that is charged with building out a new platform for managing infrastructure providers inside of a common interface. We are looking for your help defining the user experience with a focus on usability. Some of the roles and responsibilities associated with this position include UX design, usability testing, defining best practices, and cross-team communication.

This position is for the TAP Console team within Target's Infrastructure organization. Teams within Infrastructure create, deploy, and manage enterprise platform solutions used by thousands of Target's engineers. TAP Console team is responsible for providing a consistent infrastructure experience across multiple service providers. Our users will include Target infrastructure service providers, target.com, enterprise data services, and business intelligence software engineers, in addition to all teams that provide enterprise solutions to that same customer base such as measurement, logging, data movement, and more.

A UX Designer will:

  • Become an advocate for usability benefitting platform users
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft


  • Contribute to the UX strategy and vision for the team
  • Partner with UX Designers, Product Managers and Engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements
  • Build a network of UX partners across Target to enhance your toolbox and open doors for others
  • Partner with UX, Product, and Engineering partners to build and grow a UX culture around our products
  • Implement and document design patterns for teams to on-board to our platform


  • Partner with fellow team members to deliver comprehensive documentation covering platform on-boarding and best practices
  • Partner with UX, Product, and Engineering partners to perform user research which will be used to prioritize platform improvements


About you:

  • A portfolio showcasing a high level of craft with a strong foundation in visual and interaction design


  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design
  • Proficiency with modern visual design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe xD, or Miro
  • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interface for internal users
  • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies


  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Experience creating storyboards and website mapping
  • A drive to participate in an inclusive and supportive community


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $81,400 to $146,500.
