FINANCIAL ANALYTICS & REPORTING MANAGER

Work Location: Work from home or hybrid (in the office 3 or more days per week)

Position Description

This position is responsible for the management of workstreams for a team of analysts in support of Health Care Economics analytics and reporting for all UCare lines of business. Workstream activities include data generation, integration, compilation, and production of reporting related to the annual revenue and health care cost budget, interim financial projections, ORSA risk modeling, and regulatory financial reporting.

• Manage the production of the monthly budget to actual restatement report to identify revenue, medical costs, or utilization variances requiring additional detailed analysis.

• Lead data development for the annual revenue and health care cost budget projections. Maintain and update budget models for various scenario modeling as necessary.

• Work closely with Health Care Economics Analyst Seniors to coordinate timely and accurate reporting, as well as corresponding variance analysis for communication to Leadership.

• Manage, select, train, develop and evaluate staff. Collaborate with staff to determine career development opportunities. Monitor workflow and provide performance feedback. Build and maintain a team of highly effective analysts to support UCare's growing need for more advanced health care informatics.

• Maintain detailed and updated documentation for departmental processes.

• Serve as the lead Data Steward for financial data as a part of UCare's overall Enterprise Data Governance initiative.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

B.A./B.S. with an emphasis in healthcare, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field. Demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of Finance, Accounting, or closely related health care industry experience with an emphasis on data management. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Experience

Three years of direct or indirect management of personnel.

Intermediate to advanced skills using SQL.
