Our team leverages modelling outputs from Media Mix Models and Multi-Touch Attribution. We deliver insights and inform strategic shifts in campaign and channel allocation. At the heart of these capabilities is being able to tell a story. To ensure proper context, how to understand results, and what trade-offs we need to consider, your expertise is crucial. You will partner internally and externally across Target departments and media agencies to monitor, measure, and deliver accurate insights. We are looking for someone to enable our team and build timely, impactful insights and tell amazing stories.

About you:

You are a curious, analytical, story-teller. You are comfortable being the face of building attribution stories understanding ROAS, SPI, CPM/CPCs, YoY impact, seasonality, creative and external factors. You are passionate about data, comfortable working within SaaS tools, you like structured approaches to solving problems, and are able to monitor process improvement. You are comfortable working with large, complex datasets and working through ambiguity. You are a subject matter expert in the data feeding our attribution tools, what nuances exist within them, and can story-tell around results that are impacted by nuances or seasonal impacts. Attribution, MTA/MMM, 1st/3rd party data, taxonomy, tagging, and nomenclature are words that you're not afraid of. The position requires basic attribution knowledge leveraging Media Mix Modeling and Multi-Touch Attribution, and basic media activation knowledge (Social, Search, Affiliates, Display, Video etc.).

In this role you will:
  • Drive MTA/MMM scenario creation in our vendor's tool, enabling the Sr. Media Effectiveness to story-tell and share results to our stakeholders
  • Partner closely with our Sr. Data Manager on process development, monthly Q/C validation of data, and manage end-to-end data delivery to our models in partnership with the Measurement Enablement Team and our Media Activation teams
  • Work with our 1st and 3rd party data to enrich analytics and enable the Media Effectiveness team with new analytic capabilities
  • Work closely with our vendors to build weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly insight deliverables from MMM/MTA
  • Partner closely with Channel Teams, Investment/Finance teams, help create new ways to drive insight deliverables
  • Must be comfortable working across all channels and leading teams to integrate into one
  • Be an expert in marketing data. Minimum deep experience with one or two channels and buying systems, and conversant across all channel data
  • Build relationships across disciplines and with creative agencies
  • Demonstrate leadership in identifying trends, opportunities, issues and best practices and integrating new measurement deliverables

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Have worked with MMM/MTA attribution analytics
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics and/or marketing operations.
  • Analytics tool experience: DOMO, Tableau etc. preferred as well as experience in qualitative measurement and tools (social listening, Nielsen, Kantar, Qualtrics etc.)
  • Strength in story-telling and media mix allocation
  • Expertise in media trafficking, tracking, measurement and reporting practices
  • Experience executing and measuring media plans in excess of $25 million annually
  • Hands-on experience with traditional and digital media including social, mobile, video and search
  • Proven ability to build consensus among varying partners
  • Worked with cross functional teams on client side for national brands or supported media for a major national client on the agency side
  • Agility, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Working knowledge of and relationships with marketing analytics vendors is a plus
  • Experience with agile product teams

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is ($65,600 to $118,100).
