Sr. Project Manager - Raw Materials Libraries

As a Sr. Project Manager - Raw Materials Libraries, you will be responsible for building, updating, and maintaining the online raw material libraries that are critical to the profitability, availability, and sustainability of our owned brand items. You will work with internal and external partners to ensure that the end-to-end raw materials information and data needs, as identified with cross-functional stakeholders, are met.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables: establish the current state and identify gaps to get to the desired future state.
  • Partner with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to establish data and business department prioritization.
  • Develop a project plan with clearly defined milestones, project tasks, resource needs, etc.
  • Lead the implementation of the project plan including assembling and coordinating project staff.
  • Track project deliverables and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Identify, track, & facilitate risk mitigation plans by anticipating potential roadblocks & risks before they occur, understanding the implications of risk, and escalating conclusions to the appropriate levels.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Balance the need to orchestrate near-term data clean-up with the desire for a longer-term durable and reliable solution.

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience or experience running structured well-coordinated approaches to projects
  • Experience in creating and implementing policies for effective data management
  • Develop project management methodology, best practices, tools, and standards that can be used across the project portfolio to improve productivity, decision making and realize targeted business outcomes
  • Ability to lead a body of work in a global, collaborative environment and manage relationships with team and key business partners
  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail with a high sense of urgency, initiative, progress over perfection, & proactive planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & comfortable communicating across organizational levels (Sr. Leadership) and organizational areas (business teams, tech teams, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones
  • Ability to manage a global team of independent contractors
  • Preferred: Project Management Certificate, PMP Certification, or Agile training
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a PLM system and Raw Materials libraries

This position may be eligible to be virtual based (also known as full-time remote) or could be 'Flex for your Day', a hybrid model where the team member has some flexibility to choose how and where they work to maximize their productivity and well-being, based on Target's needs. Most of Target's HQ team members work 'Flex for Your Day' with a blend of virtual work and onsite at a Target HQ location. Team members work with their leader to determine how the role, team, partners and business determines the flexibility. For team members who work virtual based, they enter into a work arrangement that means the team member works full-time from home or a non-Target location, and do not have a workstation at their assigned HQ location, but may travel to a HQ site up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.
