ASSOCIATE CARE COORDINATOR SUPERVISOR

Work Location: Work from home

Position Description

This position is responsible to oversee daily operations and direct supervision of the Associate Care Coordinator team. Collaborate with leader to coordinate new employee orientation and evaluate staff development and training needs. Mentor, coach and evaluate individual staff performance. Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of operations to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and contractual requirements. Provide assistance and back up support to daily notification and authorization operational activities as assigned.

• Supervise and provide oversight of Associate Care Coordinator staff. Oversee training, daily compliance monitoring and coaching of team members including maintaining schedules and workflows. Manages engagement-related efforts and assignments of staff with varying degrees of expertise and experiences.

• Develop monthly individualized staff reports and dashboards to monitor productivity measures. Ensure Associate Care Coordinator staff adherence to organization and regulatory policies, timelines, and authorization requirements. Provide consistent feedback on performance in a timely manner.

• Assist with recruitment, interview and selection of new staff. Coordinate new employee orientation planning, maintenance of materials and development of working partnerships with MSHO/MSC+ Care Coordinator Manager for on-going staff development and training.

• Support or perform monthly audit, planning or reporting activities for business operations in identified areas. Conduct or assist in audit risk assessments, action plans, communicate findings and recommendations or process changes to MSHO/MSC+ Care Coordinator Manager.

• Partner with MSHO/MSC+ Care Coordinator Manager by identifying, analyzing and planning for implementation of timely process improvements and developing comprehensive job aides for staff training and development.

• Monitor, process and report MACESS aging.

• Participate and collaborate in cross-departmental and external workgroups related to operational, legislative, and audit activates.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Two-year degree at an accredited college, university, or vocational school with a focus on health, social service, psychology; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three years' experience in a health plan or health care industry. Knowledge and experience with medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10 coding and insurance industry knowledge. One year of lead or supervisory experience.

Preferred Experience

Experience with insurance operations, member or provider customer service, or managed care utilization review. Experience in hospital, clinic or health care facility.
