As a Strategy & Ops Lead, Site Merchandising, you'll drive strategic planning & operations within Site Merchandising and across the Enterprise. You will build connections, leads cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiencies in service of an online shopping experience that achieves aggressive business growth goals, increases guest love and loyalty for the Target brand, and defines the future of shopping at Target and in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy development, cross functional team leadership, routines, insights and communication cascades
  • Facilitating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual strategy & routines processes in partnership with senior leaders
  • Ensuring the Site Merchandising planning & activation process is connected to the enterprise and consistent across pyramids.
  • Developing strong connections and best practices across Site Merchandising to elevate skills, acumen, and routines across the team focused on core site experience tenants (A/B testing, Analytics, Findability etc)
  • Consulting on key business & digital strategies; collaborate with teams across the organization to understand & align priorities
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive accountability to digital & enterprise performance.
  • Creating & delivering compelling presentations that simplify complex findings, facilitate greater understanding of key insights and strategies, and inspire action.
  • Managing cross-functional projects, coordinating, and executing strategies and implementation to ensure efficiencies
  • Job duties may evolve at any time due to business needs.


About You:
  • This role requires a strong ability to demonstrate strategic planning, diplomacy and proactive decision making and action.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment interfacing between leadership and broad cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize strategies across key stakeholder groups
  • Strong communication skills with confidence presenting in a variety of settings to teams and senior leadership
  • Balance of art and science; ability to deep dive data, extract insights and provide guidance on actions within business & brand context.
  • Strong digital and business acumen
  • Ability to work independently on ambiguous projects; comfort with driving decision-making in spite of incomplete information
  • Fosters a culture of inclusivity, connection and drive across teams and work
  • 7+ years Ecommerce, Strategy/Operations and/or Marketing experience preferred.
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience


This position may be eligible to be virtual based (also known as full-time remote) or could be 'Flex for your Day', a hybrid model where the team member has some flexibility to choose how and where they work to maximize their productivity and well-being, based on Target's needs. Most of Target's HQ team members work 'Flex for Your Day' with a blend of virtual work and onsite at a Target HQ location. Team members work with their leader to determine how the role, team, partners and business determines the flexibility. For team members who work virtual based, they enter into a work arrangement that means the team member works full-time from home or a non-Target location, and do not have a workstation at their assigned HQ location, but may travel to a HQ site up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.
