About us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Fueling the continued success of one of the world's most beloved and recognized brands is a distinctly capable, creative and innovative Marketing organization. Target Marketing is well known for inspiring and surprising guests, and we pride ourselves on connecting them to the products and experiences they expect and deserve from Target. We study our guests to discover new needs and insights, and then craft every interaction to build brand love. We are market experts who insist on a clear and cohesive understanding of our business objectives, guest segments and behaviors, strategies and tactics, overcoming obstacles and measuring success. Our commitment to partnering both internally and with external agencies gives us a wide range of capabilities, from award-winning creative work to exciting and unique promotional marketing. Leveraging our collective assets and fostering a healthy, supportive and open team culture, we deliver a holistically gratifying experience that guests can only get at Target.

Experiential Marketing at Target is an integral part of the marketing mix and is leveraged to connect with everyone from the general public to influencers, media, business partners, community partners and team members. Within Target, experiential activations have played a large role in helping make Target an iconic brand - from an immersive holiday experience like Target Wonderland to creating a fashion show on the side of a hotel to Target's Annual Meeting with 20,000 attendees. Experiential excellence and innovation is part of Target's brand DNA.

As a Senior Experiential Marketing Business Partner you will participate in the planning and execution of project elements from concept through execution. You will act as the project hub; driving element timelines and budget while keeping working teams informed both internally and externally. You'll provide vendors and agency partners on-going direction and feedback throughout the process. You'll track metrics to influence future planning. You are ready to quickly adapt plans to fit the changing COVID landscape and will consider both IRL and hybrid/digital extensions to your projects.

On any given day, you will be simultaneously concepting, planning and executing several programs of varying scale. You will work with some of the best agency and production partners in the business as well as the world-class Target Creative team to dream up and execute industry-leading experiences that consistently deliver on strategic objectives.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Experiential Marketing/production - you know what it takes to bring an experience to life, including how to work with vendors across the production space (both in-person and digital/hybrid)
  • Ability to build and manage budgets and timelines while holding teams accountable
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while keeping projects on course
  • Self-starter who can prioritize workload with the ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate effectively, including the ability to clearly present concepts and ideas to all levels of management
  • Ability to work well with process and procedure
  • Ability to be calm under pressure and think quickly on your feet to resolve issues that arise, especially in the onsite environment
  • Exhibits integrity, ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
  • Ability to find energy in ambiguity
  • Curiosity around learning new things, uncovering new opportunities and staying current with culture
  • Ability to do work in Microsoft Office 365, Slack and Zoom
