Description:
SPT Senior Business Partner, Operations (Full-Time Remote or Hybrid)

About us:

As a Fortune 50 company with more than 350,000 team members worldwide, Target is an iconic brand and one of America's leading retailers.

Working at Target means the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. Caring for our communities is woven into who we are, and we invest in the places we collectively live, work and play. We prioritize relationships, fuel and develop talent by creating growth opportunities, and succeed as one Target team. At our core, our purpose is ingrained in who we are, what we value, and how we work. It's how we care, grow, and win together.

A role with Space, Presentation & Transitions (SPT) means you're on a mission to create better store space and experiences for our guest while maximizing sales. We are responsible for ensuring the right item is on the right shelf in the right store. On the Space side, we do this by using analytics to determine the appropriate footage for each assortment for every store ("adjacency"). Each store's assortment is assigned to a planogram (POG) which is developed in Presentation to ensure the localized assortment meets presentation objectives and is associated to the correct location in a store. We drive space and presentation changes through our New Store, Remodel and Transition programs - bringing updated and new experiences to life for our guests in stores. We believe that making increasingly better space allocation and presentation decisions will increase sales, improve guest satisfaction and reduce out-of-stocks. Here, you'll partner with and manage cross-functional project teams in Space, Presentation & Transitions, Assortment Planning, Merchandising, Store Design, Marketing, Store Operations and Non-Retail Procurement from strategy to execution to achieve an inspiring and convenient in-store guest experience. We'll support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development to help you grow.

As a Space, Presentation & Transitions Operations Senior Business Partner, you will play a critical role in operationalizing and improving Target's operations in 4 key ways:
  • Program Development: Partner with cross-functional team members from across the organization to establish strategies and procedures to improve execution and implementation of SPT priorities. Develop and maintain relationships with SPT leaders and partners across the enterprise.
  • Program Management: Lead planning, executing, and implementing new SPT processes; represent SPT within enterprise CFTs; develop timeline milestones with clear criteria to optimize the guest store experience.
  • Operational Excellence: Support operational excellence, ensuring SPT delivers on time and quality adjacencies and planograms.
  • Performance Management: Partner with Product, Data Science, and TII SPT Teams to develop routine progress and performance measures, dashboards, and updates to drive accountability, identify opportunity areas and drive continuous improvement.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years previous retail or operations experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in process improvement
  • Analytical acumen-demonstrated ability to deep dive data, extract insights and provide guidance on actions
  • Bias for action - ability to drive progress across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively influence without authority
  • Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • 2+ years of Merchandising Space experience preferred
