Within Pay & Benefits, as a Sr Compensation Business Partner, you will play a key role in bringing our compensation strategy to life through our annual merit process and in our HR systems, tools, and reporting. You will own and manage key relationships with HR Center of Excellence ("COE") partners and Compensation program owners and leaders. Other responsibilities include:

  • Lead a cross-functional team through the execution of the Annual Performance & Pay process; coordinates all meetings, agendas, and tasks to execute process from end-to-end.
  • Broad understanding of the Compensation strategy and projects to enable prioritization of needs within Workday and reporting tools
  • Main liaison between Compensation and HR Process + Technology and Talent Analytics
  • Prioritizes resources and requests to support the data, reporting and analytics strategy of the Compensation team
  • Understands the data and reporting needs across the Compensation team and executes plans to deliver the right data at the right time
  • Provides education to the Compensation team to empower them to use data in their daily work
  • Manage or contribute to special projects as needed

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years of Compensation, HR Systems, and/or Reporting experience
  • Workday experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strong attention to detail, along with being able to analyze data to make effective decisions
  • Results oriented, being able to anticipate key issues and problems and come to resolution quickly
  • Strategic thinker that can effectively present ideas to all levels of the organization
  • Strong partnership and relationship skills


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600k to $118,100k. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
