A role on the Financial Planning and Analysis team means providing insight and guidance to support Target's strategic growth strategies and financial decisions. You'll deliver objective and financially-focused insights to the business owners and finance leaders. You will be a critically important resource for long-term and annual financial planning, analysis and drive cross-company initiatives.

As a Sr Financial Analyst, New Stores - Capital Finance, you will help Target grow our New Store strategy by supporting our Cross Functional teams in delivering strong financial results. Within this capacity you will provide financial analysis and recommendations on how to improve sales, margin and expense within both new and existing stores. This requires collaboration with partners in Properties, Real Estate, Merchandising, Accounting, Pricing, Distribution, Marketing and Store Operations to understand and improve the business. This role will be responsible for building New Store valuation models for approval at Capital Forum. This role also contributes to the annual refresh of the New Store valuation model, within this capacity, you will assess store valuation and propose and test updated methodologies. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • B.A/B.S degree in accounting or finance
  • Relevant Finance experience (including FP&A experience)
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, project management and organizational skills
  • Superior leadership skills with enthusiasm, initiative and a passion for results
  • Experienced in collaborating across departments/business units and driving results through collaboration
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; tailors message by audience, negotiate consequences, handle crisis, setbacks and conflicts constructively and diplomatically, and provide essential information to the right people at the right time; relationship-building aptitude


This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600 (min) to $118,100 (max).
