Working within Talent Acquisition, your mission will be to attract new talent and launch people in roles that let them shine. Our recruiters accompany candidates along the new team member journey, from the very first engagement to day one on the job, and beyond. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you'll act as a brand ambassador in the employer marketplace, telling the story of Target as a top choice in a sea of other places to work, and showing candidates what it's really like to work somewhere they already love.

Target TA is looking for an exceptional Lead Executive Search Consultant to attract and engage top talent across the enterprise. The Lead Executive Search Consultant will partner with our growing recruitment team and our leadership team to hire the best executive talent. You'll serve as a strategic advisor to the clients by creating and executing strategies in partnership with the Principle Executive Search Consultant to place top talent and build strong partnerships across Target.

As a Lead Executive Search Consultant, you'll take the lead as you:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on external market intelligence. Conduct thorough and regular research in order to regularly share insight on trends in the marketplace, industry information, competitor happenings, and leadership news.

  • Strategically develop target lists of companies and candidates through multiple channels such as cold calling, internet research, networking, databases and associations.
  • Perform initial outreach to identified candidates to inform, educate and assess interest regarding leadership roles.
  • Provide detailed status reports on market intelligence, research and sourcing activities.
  • Participate in conversations around anticipated leadership openings. Provide consultation on compensation, organizational structure and position scope.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition team members and business leaders to continually develop best-in-class end-to-end leadership recruitment processes and strategies.

  • Assist in the training and development of other Talent Acquisition team members through mentoring relationships and by training key recruitment acumen skill sets.
  • Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of successful experience recruiting for director level and above openings in Fortune 500 organizations.
  • Demonstrated success utilizing pro-active recruitment strategies
  • Proven expertise using the telephone & internet to acquire information not readily available.
  • Highly developed conceptual skills; able to synthesize information quickly; understands various industries and functions; and able to present material in an organized and clear manner

  • Excellent communication skills; speaking, writing and listening.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Proven ability to successfully identify, manage, and engage with exceptional candidates in high growth environments
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement through problem solving, producing solutions and critical thinking

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400k to $153,700k.
