SOFTWARE ANALYST SENIOR

Work Location: Work from home or Office for Your Day

Position Description

This position is responsible to design solutions for improving productivity and efficiencies of the business processes, including research reported problems and requests, determine plans and propose solutions and advocate for system resolution, ensuring business standards and requirements are met. Plan, elicit and document requirements. Provide recommendations for change. Support the development of data exchanges solutions, interfaces and processes.

• Collaborate with Business partners and IT teams.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Determine solutions and test them for technical and business compatibility.

• Collaborate with the software engineers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

• Provide data and analysis needs that support business process.

• Assist with the planning of test schedules before production implementation of software or applications.

• Oversee implementation of new system/application.

• Enhance staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions, answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team and business members, offer suggestions for improved processes, mentor team members.

• Take ownership of end-to-end incident resolution that may involve multiple departments.

• Provide consultation for internal and external stakeholders.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of software analyst experience. Familiar with using Microsoft SQL Management Studio, AzureDevOps (ADO), Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience working with enterprise applications such as HealthRules. Familiarity with the Healthcare industry, preferably from a payer perspective. Familiar with HealthCare related EDI transactions, such as 837, 277, 277CA, 835, etc. along with member out of pocket accumulator analysis. Strong Analytical skills. Software troubleshooting experience and knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially development of business and functional requirements and unit testing. Familiarity with software development methodologies.

Preferred Experience

ITIL Certification. Familiarity and experience working in Agile teams with experience in developing/updating user stories, acceptance criteria and project documentation. Experience in Test Driven Development and automated unit testing. Familiarity with the health care industry.
