In this role, the Senior Data Analyst will provide critical business insights through the development of sales and load forecasts.


Examples of core job functions include:


  • Develop, analyze, and present the sales and demand forecasts. Perform review and verification of data that is input into the sales and demand forecasts (weather, customer sales data, system demand data, economic data, etc.)
  • Write testimony and testify in support of state sales forecasts used in general rate case filings. Submit forecasts and documentation for use in resource plan filings, and to support our annual and quarterly budgeting efforts.
  • Prepare and analyze forecasts and documentation to support various regulatory filings
  • Maintain and update the customer database by maintaining accurate information and making updates to the data as necessary to accomadate new variables
  • Provide analysis to internal customers and cost/benefit calculations, and impacts of proposed projects
  • Participate in joint studies and serve on special projects or committee assignments
  • Make recommendations for overall customer data, reporting, and analytics best practices

  • A strategic mindset with exceptional analytical and project management skills will allow you to provide valuable business insights and successfully communicate them
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, programming, or a similar field of study, as well as utility business knowledge and/or a minimum of five years of utility experience
  • Requires a general understanding of statistics and regression analysis, as well as a thorough understanding of databases
  • Experience using SAS Analytics Software is a plus
