SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR - BIZTALK

Work Location: Work from home

Position Description

This position is responsible to design, build and expand the company's utilization of BizTalk with a focus on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This position will support the integration and development efforts for creating SOA applications to support consumerism and the Health Care Exchange. Ensure best practice for Enterprise Application Integration patterns are implemented. Analyze, design, develop, modify and maintain application software. Requires proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) and IT change control procedures. Able to organize and assist in leading small to medium scale Application Development efforts, solving complex business needs with technical solutions. Represent team in small and medium size projects that cross team structures. Communicate and collaborate effectively within and across team structure, including IT management as appropriate. Provide peer mentoring to junior staff as appropriate.

• Lead SOA and Enterprise Application Integration.

• Provide design and technical consulting for small to medium sized projects. Consult with business and teammates to identify facets of an issue and generate a solution. Understand impact to processes and systems across the organization and factors these into solutions.

• Assist with planning and execution of unit, integration and user acceptance testing.

• Actively participate in the requirements, design and build phases; delivering high quality deliverables.

• Complete work in time/effort budget; provide proactive update to project lead if timelines or effort estimates are in jeopardy.

• Produce documentation and notification for changes to production systems or fixes to production problems.

• Provide consistent updates to project lead on progress and outstanding issues.

• Assist in leadership for small to medium sized projects, providing work guidance to less experienced engineers.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years' experience in BizTalk Server 2010/2013/2013R2/2020 and BizTalk ESB Toolkit, BRE, BAM. Working knowledge in EDI HIPAA 5010 transaction sets, web services (SOAP / XML / REST / JSON, etc.) and WCF. Five years' experience with .NET Platform (XML Web Services, Win Forms, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF, ADO.NET). Five years languages: C# and scripting: VB Script, Java Script, PowerShell (beneficial). Five years' experience in markup languages and technologies: XML, HTML, XSL, DTD, XSD schemas, SOAP. Five years' experience with RDBMS systems: knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2012. Five years' experience with internet Information Server experience (configuring web sites, application pools, etc.). Three years' experience working with testing tools (BizUnit, NUnit) and Team Foundation Server (source control, automated builds, continuous integration). Two years' experience with agile Scrum methodology. Demonstrated knowledge of and applicability of Object-Oriented techniques and principles.

Preferred Experience

1. Industry or functional domain expertise.

2. Enterprise Application Integration experience.

3. Strong presentation skills.

4. ITIL Certification

5. Familiarity and experience working in Agile teams with experience in developing/updating user stories, acceptance criteria and project documentation. Experience in Test Driven Development and automated unit testing. Familiarity with the health care industry.
