BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (BI) DEVELOPER SENIOR

Work Location: Work from home or Office for Your Day

Position Description

As the Business Intelligence Developer Senior, you will be responsible to lead the design, development, and maintenance of reports and universes in the data warehouse environment using the BusinessObjects suite of products along with other Business Intelligence (BI) software and tools. Collaborate with multiple departments to develop standard and self-service reports that meet their needs. In addition, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Health Care Economics (HCE) department and other select analysts with training and assistance in BusinessObjects and other Business Intelligence tools, as needed.

• Lead the development of Business Objects and other BI reports while collaborating with HCE and other department experts to gather requirements, develop, test and maintain of reports.

• Collaborate with Data Architects and ETL developers to design, develop, test, maintain, and support the data architecture to ensure optimal performance and reporting flexibility, while maintaining data warehouse quality standards.

• Collaborate with business experts to take a lead role in the design BusinessObjects universes that meet the needs of the business and creates quality and consistency of reporting across multiple areas.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of UCare operational reporting to track enrollment and other operational metrics.

• Serve as a SME by provide mentoring, guidance and training on how to most effectively use BI reporting and analysis tools including, but not limited to, BusinessObjects, SQL, and MedeAnalytics.

• Acquire and maintain expertise in UCare data elements and how those elements relate to specific UCare product lines.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

BA/BS in business, technology, or closely related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

At least five years of experience in BusinessObjects suite of products with an emphasis on Report Development and Universe Design along with some experience with BusinessObjects administration. Proven advanced skills in SQL. Demonstrated experience partnering with business experts to evaluate complex data requirements.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in the healthcare industry and experience with additional Business Intelligence tools (SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, Superset, Trino, Timbr).
