SENIOR ENGINEER

Target Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer at our offices in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Senior Engineer is responsible for developing, creating, and modifying software applications. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Digital Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of related experience. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree in Digital Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) developing microservice and implementing dynamically querying CRUD repository using GraphQL and MongoDB, and establishing the reactive change stream log using Mongo reactive stream API; (2) developing server-side application using Docker, Filebeat, Logstash for handling the real time data events from Kafka into Elasticsearch, and creating visualization for proactive alerting & monitoring using Kibana; (3) developing admin UI functionality tools using ReactJS, Praxis and Canvas UI for business partners and store operations; (4) developing and directing software system testing and validation procedures using JMeter and Gatling scripts between the partnering teams and consolidating the performance results; and (5) utilizing the following software tools and technologies: Java, Python, C, C++, Spring boot, Micronut, Project Reactor, JavaScript, ReactJS, Shell script, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle, GIT, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, IBM DB2 and Agile Methodologies (Product Backlog, Planning, Regular Scrum, Retrospective/ Reviews), Waterfall, and Iterative. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to a Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
