SENIOR ENGINEER

Target Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Engineer at our offices in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Engineer develops, creates, and modifies software applications and work on Target's sophisticated IT application architecture, software systems and designs. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) applying the appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems using Java/J2EE, Groovy, Apache Tomcat, RESTful web services, Spring Boot, Ratpack, Kafka, JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, HTML, PostGre SQL and Oracle; (2) designing and developing user interfaces to Java/J2EE-based applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development life cycle; (3) leading and conducting code review, design review, testing, and debugging activities at the application level; (4) creating scripts, configurations, and programs for the Nginx, Apache, and Tomcat server environments; and (5) designing database architecture and server scripting to integrate applications and studying and establishing their connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.
