AUDIT & COMPLIANCE CODING SUPERVISOR

Work Location: Work from home or Office for Your Day

Position Description

As the Audit & Compliance (A&C) Coding Supervisor, you will be responsible to provide supervisory oversight and work direction to all Audit & Compliance (A&C) Senior Coding Analysts. Ensure proper training is received and provide timely feedback of staff performance Manage the coordination and administration of activities related to the A&C coding team functions and processes to meet departmental service level agreements and timelines. Serve as a central point of contact for the Configuration & Claims Operations (CCO) A&C coding team.

In addition, you will monitor and track all team activities and projects to ensure standards are being followed with proper documentation, prioritization, collaboration, communication, and status of work. Foster and promote collaboration with other CCO teams, project and/or business stakeholders to identify business impact, prioritization and communication plans and create transparency into status of issues, work and projects.

• Participate in the interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of staff.

• Establish, communicate, and enforce performance standards for staff including goals and development plan creation, and quarterly and annual reviews.

• Supervise and coordinate all activities of A&C Senior Coding Analysts. Analyze and distribute daily workload to support CCO department and other stakeholders.

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures, work instructions, and other documentation to establish clear expectations for staff.

• Evaluate resource needs and collaborate with the CCO Audit & Compliance Manager on coding and operational process improvements.

• Provide oversight and management of coding issues impacting appropriate claims adjudication and provider appeals including creation of appropriate provider education articles or provider manual updates.

• Represent CCO A&C coding team as a participant and SME in department and interdepartmental meetings, committees or workgroups, as assigned by CCO Audit & Compliance Manager.

• Ensure adherence to governmental regulations and member contracts relating to coding, documentation, compliance, and reimbursement/billing/coverage policies.

• Participate in department projects, assigning staff resources, and fulfilling responsibilities as assigned by CCO Audit & Compliance Manager.

• Collaborate with other CCO and organizational stakeholders to determine priorities, resource estimations, delivery deadlines for completion of workload, and communication support.

• Communicate status, accomplishments, and risks regularly and/or as needed to the CCO Audit & Compliance Manager.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Currently credentialed as a CPC and/or CCS certification.

Preferred Experience

Experience with business process improvement. Knowledge of health insurance industry and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Markets.
