Work Location: Office for your Day

The health and safety of our employees, members, providers, and our community is our highest priority. Position Description

As a Retention Specialist - MSHO/MSC+, you will work on the Keep Your Coverage (KYC) team and monitor member Medical Assistance eligibility renewal dates to assist members in retaining their health plan membership eligibility in UCare's Special Needs Plans (SNP) through various outreach activities.

• Assist in the development of retention plans that identify potential disenrollment of members and the reasons why. Creates strategies and tactics to proactively keep members enrolled in UCare Special Needs Plans (SNP).

• Monitor member Medical Assistance eligibility through existing reports and data bases

• Coordinate and/or lead mail and call campaigns to members

• Document all activities and interactions with members in CRM

• Partner with county financial workers and case managers on behalf of members

• Attend conferences and community events to promote UCare's Keep Your Coverage (KYC) services.

• Conduct virtual or in-person visits, as needed, to assist members in understanding eligibility requirements and paperwork.

• Staff call center that services members and potential members with questions about UCare's Keep Your Coverage (KYC) services and other products.

• Provide back-up to the other Sales team members, as needed, during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

• Maintain current Minnesota Accident and Health Insurance Licensure.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in social work, or health care related field preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minnesota Accident and Health Insurance license required, or ability to obtain within six months.

Required Experience

Two years of experience with Medical Assistance recipients in a managed health care or county environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in human services within a county environment. Experience in working with people with disabilities and/or senior populations.
