About Target

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Our purpose is to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. As a Senior Manager of Product Design (UX) you'll lead a team that brings that purpose to life for Target's Guests through our transaction experiences (cart, checkout and account) for Target.com and our Target apps.

About the Job

This Confirm & Buy team is responsible for the design of cart, checkout and account experiences. More than $20B/year (and growing) flows through our app and web checkout, making this Target's biggest cash register! Your team is responsible for identifying and designing ways to help our guests complete their purchases with clarity, confidence and speed. The work includes rethinking aspects of the existing experience, and ensuring we have payment options that reflect the needs of all guests we serve now and in the future.

In this role you will...

  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers and other stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for our payment experiences now and in the future
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and direction that elevates the people and work on your team
  • Provide regular, effective performance feedback, check-ins and reviews for people who report to you
  • Educate and advocate for what your team needs to be successful
  • Establish/maintain processes and workflows that enable your team to maximize their impact and satisfaction
  • Foster team connection and a sense of purpose and belonging
  • Identify risks/blockers for yourself and your team and clear them with urgency
  • Prioritize your team's time and focus, placing team members on results-oriented work that complements their skills, career ambitions and growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with cross-functional partners and senior leaders
  • Build the team and skills needed for long-term growth
  • Recruit, hire and onboard highly talented people
  • Champion equity, diversity and inclusion across your team and Target

About You

  • 7+ years of experience in digital product work with emphasis in UX design, visual design and research methods
  • A portfolio of projects that showcases your team's work and impact, highlighting examples of ways you led and developed people and their work
  • Demonstrated understanding of how and when to use metrics and UX methods to inform your team's work
  • Emotional intelligence-the ability to truly understand what each individual on your team needs to thrive and feel fulfilled
  • A demonstrated ability to lead initiatives end-to-end and with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Dedicated to people management as a critical part of your role; able to assess and grow talent
  • Comfortable working without formal requirements or top-down decisions
  • Bonus points: 1+ years team management experience, strong grasp of ecommerce fundamentals

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

The salary range is $85,400-$153,700.

Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to education, work experience, certifications, labor markets, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family. Find competitive benefits from financial and education to well-being and beyond.
