As a Project Manager within the COE Capabilities Team, you will play a critical role across the capabilities; managing initiatives that support Owned Brand business goals. You will be responsible for the project scoping, resource planning, communication, and hindsighting on critical COE initiatives. In addition you will provide framework, resources, and tools to help guide the COE team through their projects to ensure an efficient and consistent approach and communication. You will work closely with capability leads on project prioritization and alignment to the business teams. Can you collaborate with experts across capabilities to set a strategic project plan? Can you communicate with partners across levels and areas (inside and outside of target) on project strategies, goals, progress, and roadblocks? Responsibilities
  • Project manager for COE initiatives across the capabilities that impact Owned Brand business goals
  • Create framework, tools, and resources to establish an effective and consistent approach across capabilities
  • Partner with cross functional leaders to align on project scope, goals, and asks of the teams
  • Facilitate project intake and prioritization in partnership with capability leads
  • Establish and communicates timing and action for achieving project goals, and balances time and resources to achieve these
  • Communication of progress to goals to cross functional leaders and teams
  • Identify tools and resources needed to drive project goals and timing
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve processes, new ways of working to accelerate business opportunities
  • Ensure expense planning and management of resources for optimum productivity and added value of projects
  • Ensure transparency and support of team through escalation process when required for speedy resolution
  • Communicate information and facilitate the open exchange of ideas and diverse points of view
  • Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, constraints, and assumptions in order to establish the project deliverables, resource needs and timelines.
  • Ensure project work plan align with product development calendar and delivers on business objectives and project goals
  • Coordinate with partners to accomplish tasks outlined in the project plan (from initiation through final implementation)
  • Adjust and communicate changes to project plan as needed to meet goals
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies by leveraging analytics, reporting, and an understanding of internal and global Target teams and key business partner strengths
  • Ensure project closure is completed including the completion of lessons learned and identify opportunities for process improvements for future projects
  • Own personal development through continuous learning and proactively seeking new assignments that will help build knowledge and improve skills
  • Develop strategic network of contacts across the industry to bring knowledge and innovation to Target.


About You:
  • 8+ years related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of project management framework and tools
  • Experience in product development and/or manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to communicate to all levels internally and external management of vendor partners with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work in the gray and drive change
  • Strategic thinking and ability to plan; organize and execute
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications
