In Sourcing, you'll apply your Fabric, Trim and Packaging and accessories and/or home goods expertise to promote and apply responsible sourcing practices while driving the success and growth of Target's owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development, builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle, from overseas shipping to our import warehouses, distribution centers and stores. And since Target is indeed a global company, you'll be part of the team that manages global relationships in partnership with the buying team who shop for trends all over the world. Your ability to stay aware of our suppliers' activities will help ensure compliance with responsible practices, and you'll have influence over which manufacturers Target chooses to work with. You'll be a close point-of-contact with Target team members in sourcing offices located in 20 countries around the globe, and you'll support their work as liaisons among buyers, product developers and overseas partners.

Senior Manager Portfolio Management

As a Senior Manager Policy and Governance, you will be part of the team that manages the strategy and policies for Responsible Sourcing. You will be responsible for development and stewardship of a total RSS Portfolio Governance approach. You will play a critical role ensuring organization across teams, initiatives and projects. As part of a global team you will build relationships both internally and externally to accelerate positive impact for people across the globe, enable sustainable business growth, be a catalyst for change and inspire others to do more.

Responsibilities

• A role within Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability, Portfolio Management means working with internal change agents to fast forward their success by providing strategic project governance and direction.

• You will create, lead and manage a new capability of Portfolio Management within our RSS function.

• Drives and monitors success measures of projects and initiatives across the Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability portfolio through the development and use of KPIs or other metrics across project plans.

• This includes establishing and facilitating consistentcy project governance routines including but not limited to; project intake & activation, portfolio analysis & scenario planning, resource management, communication plans, rollout and adoption timelines

• Responsibilities will include influencing leaders and program managers on portfolio prioritization and resource recommendations

• You will need to work closely with cross-functional partners within Owned Brands and the Enterprise; including but not limited to Responsible Design, Responsible Materials and Corporate Responsibility.

• You will need to leverage extensive knowledge of Target's business AND RSS strategy, as well as key data and analytics, and other relevant data points to assess value, and prioritize the direction to maximize outcomes.

• You will need to cultivate strong relationships across the enterprise in order to drive collaboration and alignment with key partners and stakeholders across pyramids

• You will develop and actively maintain strategy roadmaps for prioritization and resourcing, technical needs, and process challenges to be delivered

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience)

• 8+ years of portfolio management experience or equivalent domain experience

• Strong Collaboration including leveraging Power of influence with key partners

• Work with ambiguity, Drive results with Cross functional partnerships

• Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence peers, key stakeholders and leaders

• Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning

• Strong program management background across complex, global and matrixed organization

• Ability to foster diversity, equity and inclusion

• Operate in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment

• Project Management Certificate, PMP Certification, or Agile training

• Knowledge of Project Management systems & tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills & comfortable communicating with all levels, including Sr. level leaders

• Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail

• High sense of urgency, initiative & proactive planning
