Description:
About us:

As a Fortune 50 company with more than 350,000 team members worldwide, Target is an iconic brand and one of America's leading retailers.

Working at Target means the opportunity to help all families discover the joy of everyday life. Caring for our communities is woven into who we are, and we invest in the places we collectively live, work and play. We prioritize relationships, fuel and develop talent by creating growth opportunities, and succeed as one Target team. At our core, our purpose is ingrained in who we are, what we value, and how we work. It's how we care, grow, and win together.

The Financial and Retail Services (FRS) organization is close to the action when it comes to communication-whether with guests or Target team members. From guest service professionals and product designers to vendor managers and financial and workforce management analysts, FRS comprises several key and high-visibility areas that elevate and nurture Target's distinctive reputation. We cultivate loyalty and satisfaction through exceptional service and support. And we foster a culture of responsive, knowledgeable and committed service-from the inside out-through enterprise services our people can count on. Beyond our world-class service centers, there are many important challenges to be met in other FRS teams.

FRS has multiple service centers focused on delivering a superior experience with every contact and providing the quick and seamless resolution of issues on behalf of our guests and team members. From RedCard® Guest Services to Target.com Guest Services (TGS) to the Client Support Center (CSC), we pride ourselves on infusing every interaction with that signature Target service that guests and team members alike have come to expect. From our headquarters locations to our stores and distribution centers, we directly support Target's bottom line through building guest loyalty as the retailer of choice and taking care of our team members so that they can get back to the work they do best.

The Payments function encompasses our RedCard® products and Payment Acceptance. RedCard® is responsible for all aspects of our card programs, from marketing and product design to interactions with our bank partner for our credit products. Payment Acceptance strategically curates and enables payment tenders for Target (think debit and credit cards), working with internal and external partners to envision and advocate for the future, manage payment expense, minimize financial losses from fraud and disputes, and manage compliance with payment network rules. Within Payment Acceptance, the Operations Team resolves chargebacks from our guests' card issuing banks (non- RedCard®) and converts paper checks sent weekly from our stores to images, a key step in the processing of those checks for Target.

As a Home Based Lead Specialist on the Payment Acceptance Operations Team, you'll act as a workload captain and subject matter expert, monitoring service levels, coordinating daily schedules to optimize team success, and reporting on productivity/quality. This includes developing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of the applications, hardware, processes, policies, and procedures used by the team, including data security requirements and business continuation plans. You'll oversee processing of chargeback disputes for the Card Networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Debit Networks) and online payment providers (Shipt and PayPal), while meeting the response time deadlines defined by network rules. You'll ensure timely receipt of Sales Media from Target stores (i.e., paper checks, tax-exempt documents and coupons), leading the team that is sorting and filing the media and imaging the checks for long term retention and retrieval. You'll ensure proper destruction of this media based on Target's retention guidelines. You will resolve problems by researching the issues and partnering across Target and externally as needed. Your expertise will be leveraged in providing training and education in support of your peer-group, along with engaging as a thought partner with leadership to improve the team's performance.
