Description:

Lead Process Engineer

About Us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Fueling the continued success of one of the world's most beloved and recognized brands is a distinctly capable, creative, and innovative Marketing organization. Target Marketing is well known for inspiring and surprising guests, and we pride ourselves on connecting them to the products and experiences they expect and deserve from Target. We study our guests to discover new needs and insights, and then craft every interaction to build brand love. We are market experts who insist on a clear and cohesive understanding of our business objectives, guest segments and behaviors, strategies, and tactics, overcoming obstacles and measuring success. Our commitment to partnering both internally and with external agencies gives us a wide range of capabilities, from award-winning creative work to exciting and unique promotional marketing. Leveraging our collective assets and fostering a healthy, supportive, and open team culture, we deliver a holistically gratifying experience that guests can only get at Target

A role with Retail Brand Experience means an opportunity to shape our guests' experience of our holistic marketing presentation inside our stores. You'll drive the success of both forward-thinking projects and best practices that have a global impact on the guest experience.

As a Lead Process Engineer, you will work alongside team members from the business to understand the current situation, identify drivers for improvement, analyze root causes of performance gaps, and redesign end-to-end processes as part of the deployment of the Lean/Agile system to a process or business area. You will support an environment that reinforces continuous improvement of business processes, increases consistency, reduces guest pain points, and empowers other team members to enhance the value of the service they provide to guests.

You will lead workstreams as part of process diagnostics and design to identify impactful opportunities for operational improvements across end-to-end value streams. Using a hands-on approach, you'll ensure the diagnostic, design, and implementation of Lean tools within the business is performed to high standard and consistency with Target's Operational Excellence program. You will also be responsible for delivering coaching and training to all levels as an Operational Excellence expert and leading both large and small groups (mid to senior management). Likewise, you will need the ability to work autonomously and lead working sessions with business stakeholders that drive to conclusions, agreement, and outcomes. In collaboration with the Director of RBX Strategy & Planning, you'll develop and execute detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. You'll analyze project metrics, create reports that measure process performance against project initiatives and goals, and provide leaders with status updates/feedback. This will also require utilizing problem solving efforts on key projects to improve quality, reduce cost and eliminate waste.

Core responsibilities of this job are described within the job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business need.
