Position Summary:

As a Sr. Compliance Analyst, you will support the Product Safety & Quality Assurance Program to ensure Target remains in compliance with federal and state regulations. This position will work on reviewing operational practices, creating and enforcing compliance plans, and performance regulatory risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and improve policies and practices for PSQA
  • Enhance current program documentation to ensure all existing and future elements of the program are effectively organized to help systematically sustain compliance of the current compliance program
  • Maintain an intimate understanding of regulatory risks associated with product safety and quality. In partnership with our Sr. Regulatory Analyst, the QA team and Law, identify any new laws or requirements and advise on address them
  • Create and conduct compliance risk assessment training workshops for PSQA (Product safety and Quality Assurance) OBSD (Owned Brand Sourcing and Development) teams in partnership with Legal, Compliance and Government affairs as needed.
  • Develop risk management strategies based on changing business needs and environment
  • Create, document and implement controls to manage identified risks
  • Establish metrics and reporting capabilities to monitor controls, identify trends, evaluate process effectiveness, and recommend improvements or solutions to identified risks Partner with QA, Legal and Compliance team to follow up on compliance issues that require investigation
  • Work with cross functional technology team to propose/improve technology solutions that support compliance program
  • Develop and maintain effective and influential relationships with stakeholders responsible for the execution and integration of compliance programs, policies and initiatives

About you:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience managing risk, Compliance and/or other related programs.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively, internally and externally, across all levels of an organization.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize and successfully manage multiple tasks or projects in response to changing, ambiguous or competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to construct professional level documentation and reporting that meets the expectations of legal, audit, regulatory compliance and other stakeholders
  • Highly organized, with strong detail orientation
  • Digital mindset (understanding of technology's role in business processes and experience in using data and analytical tools, including Excel, to solve business problems a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


This position may be eligible to be virtual based (also known as full-time remote) or could be 'Flex for your Day', a hybrid model where the team member has some flexibility to choose how and where they work to maximize their productivity and well-being, based on Target's needs. Most of Target's HQ team members work 'Flex for Your Day' with a blend of virtual work and onsite at a Target HQ location. Team members work with their leader to determine how the role, team, partners and business determines the flexibility. For team members who work virtual based, they enter into a work arrangement that means the team member works full-time from home or a non-Target location, and do not have a workstation at their assigned HQ location, but may travel to a HQ site up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $85,400 to $153,700.
